The 4 Phases

Pay attention those who may not be aware of the essential, sequential order of the orgasm. There are 4 stages or phases leading up to what we know as the orgasm, which is the overwhelming euphoric feeling after intercourse. The 4 most common recognized stages are excitement, plateau, orgasm, and resolution.
In the first stage, excitement, both men and women experience increase breathing and heart rate. This has happened after some type of stimulation. In women, their vaginal area begins to enlarge and a vaginal lubricant is present. Also, the lips of the vagina begin to swell. In men, a slight erection is happening.
In the second stage, plateau, the fun is continuing on in a more intense manner. The male is now in full length of his penis potential. The female there are color changes to her vagina. The MedicineNet.com website stated, "The tissues of the walls of the outer third of the vagina swell with blood, and the opening to the vagina narrows. The clitoris disappears into its hood." In this stage, both gender experience faster breaths and heart rates.
In the third stage, the orgasm, everything is at its capacity. The little cart has climbed to the top of the ride. Both genders experience muscle contractions in various areas of the body and the breathing is accelerated more. The men release their semen in this stage.
The final stage is the resolution phase. The pleasure filled trip is ending or has ended already depending on your body. This stage varies among genders in terms of duration. Everything that changed bodily has now returned to normal pre-sex cycle size. All the rates are restored back to normal functioning
